THE GOAL OF THE PROJECT IS:

Introducing Konin to the New Path of Development, which is the Green City of Energy, in accordance with the Development Strategy of Konin Plan 2020 - 2030. The result of its implementation will be a prosperous and entrepreneurial city, thanks to energy transformation, healthy balance and creativity.

The Norway Grants

On November 22, 2021, an agreement was signed on the project entitled "City energy generator a source of success for Konin". The contract was signed by: Grzegorz Puda, the Minister of Funds and Regional Policy, and the Mayor of Konin, Piotr Korytkowski, and Ewelina Ostajewska-Szwankowska, the City Treasurer. The project "City energy generator a source of success for Konin" uses funding of over PLN 13 million from Norway and over PLN 2 million from the state budget.

The project „City energy generator a source of success for Konin" has officially started! Konin has joined the group of cities for which the key message is the slogan "We work together for a green, competitive and inclusive Europe". On November 22, as the second city in Poland, we signed an agreement The project kick-off conference was held on December 3 in Konin City Hall, attended by, among others, Kamil Wieder from the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy, Andrzej Porawski and Anna Żabińska-Pioterek from the Association of Polish Cities, President Konina Piotr Korytkowski, deputy president Paweł Adamów, the team implementing the project, Katarzyna Rejniak - project manager and media from Konin.

The City of Konin received over PLN 15 million from the Norwegian Funds and the state budget for the implementation of the planned activities. We are currently waiting for the ministry to select a project partner. Thanks to this, we will create, among others an application that allows people with special needs to move safely in the city space, we will facilitate access to e-services, equip the Cultural Activity Incubator, develop a senior policy in the city, prepare energy audits for 12 municipal buildings, we will carry out thermal modernization of 2 or 3 municipal residential buildings. We will build a bicycle path and a footbridge over the Ulga canal from the Pociejewo island to the right bank of Konin.

Work of the project implementation team

Another team meeting (23 March 2022) is behind us. We plan, implement, act :)

On December 10, 2021, we signed a contract with MOSTOWNIA Weronika Słodkiewicz for the preparation of design and cost estimate documentation under the name Construction of a footbridge over the Relief canal from the Pociejewo island to the right bank of Konin along with the construction of a bicycle path and accompanying infrastructure. The documentation will be prepared by December 9, 2022.

On December 14, 2021, we received energy audits for 12 multi-family residential buildings. These are buildings located in Konin at the following streets: Wojska Polskiego 9, Wojska Polskiego 17, Wiosny Ludów 1, Wiosny Ludów 11, Wiosny Ludów 13, Wiosny Ludów 15, Adama Mickiewicza 20, Jana Kilińskiego 7, Jarosława Dąbrowskiego 9, 3 Maja 34, Wodna 2c, Wodna 7a. These documents indicate the need to perform, among others, in buildings central heating and domestic hot water installations with heat nodes and connections, insulation of roof slopes, replacement of windows and entrance doors to buildings - recreating their historical appearance. Currently, the criteria for selecting buildings for the investment implementation are being established. The amount of funds adopted for the investment in the City budget is over PLN 2.4 million.

 From February 1 to February 28, 2022, large-format printouts will appear in the space of our city, which will present information about the implemented project and the benefits for residents resulting from its implementation - What will WE GAIN? :)

In March this year we signed a contract with Instytut Kreowania Przedsiębiorczości Sp. z o.o. in Warsaw for the implementation of the Campaign for young people "Being an Entrepreneur" under the task Implementation of the Entrepreneurship Support Program. Its aim is to present the advantages of being an entrepreneur and to promote entrepreneurial attitudes among young people. As part of the campaign, two-day workshops will be conducted, during which secondary school students will work in teams of four under the supervision of trainers and teachers (group supervisor) who will act as mentors. Students learn about modern business models and the principles of creating a business plan, and then develop their idea for an innovative business. The developed ideas will be presented during the finals.
The workshops will be held on April 25 and 26, 2022 at the Koniński Dom Kultury, and during the Campaign Final (May 12, 2022 at the Town Hall of the City Hall in Konin), the jury will select the winners of the best ideas.

In February this year as part of the action "Application available urban space", we asked the residents of Konin and the surrounding area about the availability of:
- public utility buildings,
- public transport stops,
- pedestrian crossings with traffic lights, city parking lots.
We also asked for a choice - which is more convenient, more functional: an application or a responsive website (it is a website that is adapted to each device: computer, tablet, smartphone).

We implement actions Local government ready to implement the New Development Path. On April 1, recruitment for city officials for training, courses and postgraduate studies began.

 

On April 21, city officials and employees of municipal companies that coordinate projects for the city of Konin participated in Project Management Workshops. We got to know, among others project management methodology. Their advantages include clear and coherent communication and the ability to control complex projects :)

We are preparing a senior policy for the City of Konin. On March 31, 2022, an agreement was signed with the Senior Activation System Foundation for the preparation of a strategic document "Preparation of a senior policy for the City of Konin". The development of the Senior Policy in Konin consists in the preparation of a diagnosis of the needs, existing solutions and resources, as well as the socio-demographic situation of the city and the region. This diagnosis will be the starting point for the development of key areas of needs in order to implement the project aimed at ensuring decent aging in favorable environmental conditions. The main goal of the document will be to develop a senior policy with priorities and activities addressed to the elderly for the years 2022-2030. Creating conditions for the City's residents to maintain healthy life for as long as possible, at a satisfactory level of activity and independence. Guaranteeing the elderly, both the able-bodied and those with reduced fitness and the disabled, optimal functioning in everyday life. The document will organize activities aimed at seniors in the city, indicate their directions, and involve all social groups in them. The implementation of the activities included in the program will satisfy the needs of seniors - Konin residents and will systematize the development path in the city.

 

We raise the standard of municipal buildings. April 12, 2022 President of PGKiM sp.z o.o. Michał Zawadzki and Lidia Nawara - Member of the Management Board of the ARKADA Będzin Design Office Ltd. signed a contract for the preparation of technical documentation for the energy modernization of municipal buildings located in Konin at streets Wojska Polskiego 17, Wiosny Ludów 11, 13 and 15, 3 Maja 34 and Adama Mickiewicza 20. The cost of the works is PLN 285,360 gross. The deadline for their completion - November 2022.

On May 5, 2022, a working meeting on the preparation of the Senior Policy of the City of Konin was held at the Konin City Hall. It was attended by: a representative of the Senior Activation System Foundation, the Deputy Mayor of Konin, Witold Nowak, representatives of the Nursing Home in Konin and the Municipal Family Assistance Center in Konin, and officials. During the meeting, the work schedule for the preparation of the document was discussed, the directions of action were defined and the mutual expectations regarding documentation were presented.

Final of the Campaign for young people "To be an entrepreneur"

 On May 12, 2022, the final of the Campaign for young people "To be an entrepreneur" took place, during which representatives of high schools in Konin presented their ideas for innovative business.

Teams from educational institutions took part in the campaign: Zespół Szkół Budownictwa i Kształcenia Zawodowego im. Eugeniusz Kwiatkowski in Konin, II Secondary School for them. Krzysztof Kamil Baczyński in Konin, the School Complex for them. Nicolaus Copernicus in Konin, I High School for them. Tadeusz Kościuszko in Konin, the Complex of Mining and Energy Schools for them. Stanisław Staszic in Konin, School Complex of the Continuing Education Center Stefan Batory in Konin and the Technical School Complex in Konin.

The event was preceded by a two-day workshop, during which young people worked on their own ideas with qualified trainers. May 12 this year. business concepts were assessed by a jury composed of: Deputy Mayor for Economic Affairs Paweł Adamów, representatives of: Instytut Kreowania Przedsiębiorczości Sp. z o.o. (Startup Academy), Agtos Polska Sp. z o.o. and the Konin Chamber of Commerce.

The jury rated the idea for eco funeral services the highest (presentation - Eugeniusz Kwiatkowski Construction and Vocational Training Complex in Konin). The second place was taken by the II Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Krzysztof Kamil Baczyński in Konin with an idea for the company EcoPLast, dealing in the production of granules used, among others for 3D printers. The third place was taken by students from the Zespół Szkół im. Mikołaja Kopernika in Konin for the idea of ​​the Boat Shings company, which produces high-quality furniture in a unique style from shipwrecks.

The summary of the gala was the presentation entitled "How to plan success - professional and private" discussed by the President of Instytut Kreowania Przedsiębiorczości Sp. z o.o. (Startup Academy) based in Warsaw.

We carry out the action Purchase and implementation of an integrated IT system for the Municipal Office in Konin :)
On May 11, 2022, a supply contract was signed with the implementation of an integrated IT system at the City Hall in Konin. Its scope includes: delivery of computer hardware, delivery of software (licenses), implementation works, training of users and administrators, and warranty service. The contract was signed by the President of the City of Konin, Piotr Korytkowski and the President of the Management Board of REKORD SI Sp. z o.o Janusz Szymura. The gross value of the contract is PLN 3,351,750.

On May 31 and June 1, 2022, Witold Nowak - Deputy Mayor for social affairs and Paweł Adamów - Deputy Mayor for economic affairs and Katarzyna Rejniak - Deputy Head of the Development and Investments Department participated in the conference on the third stage of the "Local Development" Program - project implementation and cooperation bilateral. It inaugurated the commencement of the key stage of the implementation of projects supported by the EEA and Norway Grants under the Local Development Program. The event was attended by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway, Anders H. Eide, representatives of the OECD, the Association of Polish Cities and the Norwegian Association of Local and Regional Authorities (KS), as well as representatives of 29 Polish local governments and their Norwegian partners selected in the competition, as well as representatives of the government administration of donor states EEA and Norway Grants: Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway. During the two-day conference, the participants discussed the effects of implementing projects in cities so far, using the OECD's external perspective and plans for the future.

We operate as part of the task Purchase and implementation of an integrated IT system for the Municipal Office in Konin :)
On May 31, 2022, a meeting of the Project Team of REKORD SI Sp. z o.o. (8 people) with employees of our Office (financial department). Coordinators in the area of taxes, fees, accounting, budget, HR and payroll from REKORD SI discussed the method and scope of implementation of the RATUSZ system at the City Hall in Konin. The exchange of information on topics related to the possibilities and expectations regarding the functioning of the new system took place in five thematic subgroups. The method of contacting and exchanging information during the implementation of the system was agreed. Further meetings with the company are ahead of us :)

"Nothing without You for You" is the motto accompanying the meetings on the action entitled "Senior Policy for the City of Konin". On June 10, in the Town Hall in Konin, a meeting of seniors with a representative of the Seniors Activation Foundation and employees of the Department of Culture, Sports and Social Affairs of the Municipal Office in Konin took place. Its main topic was the needs of this age group. The analysis of the questionnaire, which was completed by the participants of the meeting, will show what is necessary for the seniors of Konin.
On June 11, we met seniors in the allotment gardens at Solna Street in Konin :)

September 26–27, 2022 Crosslinking workshop

The implementation of cyclical events has begun, addressed to city leaders, coordinators and members of municipal teams, implementers of the "Local Development" program.

The purpose of each meeting is to strengthen the exchange of experiences between cities, to build a space for a joint analysis of the goals, challenges, adopted operating models, key for program implementers, but also solutions in the areas of management, organization and achieving efficiency in each Local Development Plan and Institutional Development Plan.

During the first training the preparation of reports in the financial and substantive part of the Local Development Program was discussed and networking workshops were conducted, led by moderators from the Association of Polish Cities:

September 10, 2022 Students from class II D of the Special School and Education Center of Janusz Korczak in Konin won the "#RazemOdpoczywamy" („#RestTogether”) competition.

After prepared presentation about  land development - any area in the city of Konin related to recreation, leisure  and any use of free time in our city space, they went to Wroclaw in September on a pro-ecological trip.

They visited Wroclaw with a guide - incl. the Old Town Market Square, National Ossolinsky Institute, University of Wroclaw, Stare Jatki street - place of the medieval market, the Town Hall, tenement houses, pillory, ZOO - Africarium, admired the largest fountain in Poland which is one of the largest in Europe, the first water city in Poland, an ultra-modern water knowledge center - Hydropolis, a place where various technologies and interactive installations serve to show water from its various fascinating perspectives.
